Charidy Client Guide. Last updated: June 2026
Crowded is Charidy's chosen partner financial management platform — and more than just a way to collect campaign donations. Once connected, Crowded becomes your organization's all-in-one financial home: receive and store raised funds, manage org spending with Visa® debit cards, deposit & send checks, track transactions, and prepare your Form 990.
Charidy has chosen Crowded because of the quicker payouts, increased security – funds are FDIC insured up to $3,000,000*, and built-in tools that help with the financial management for nonprofits.
Before your campaign goes live, you'll need to open and connect your Crowded account through your Charidy dashboard. This article walks you through exactly how to do that.
Before You Start
A few things to have ready before filling out the application:
- Your organization's Employer Identification Number (EIN) exactly as it appears on your IRS registration
- Your organization's official registered name, full business address, and year of incorporation
- The name, date of birth, SSN, and contact information for your organization's officer (owner, executive director, or equivalent)
- A real phone number and email address for both the user submitting the application and the officer listed (no VoIP or virtual numbers)
- Your organization must be a USA-based legal entity already added in your Organization Settings
How to Connect Crowded
1. Sign in to your Charidy dashboard Go to charidy.com/sign-in and log in as an organization.
2. Go to the Payment Gateways tab In your dashboard, navigate to the Payment Gateways section.
3. Click "Add New Gateway" Crowded will appear at the top of the list as one of our preferred gateways. Select it.
4. Complete the application form This form is your official application to open a Crowded account. Because Crowded is a regulated financial management platform, it requires detailed information about both your organization and the individual officer responsible for the account.
