Setting up your credit card payment gateway is an important step—and with Stripe and Charidy, it’s easy! Follow the steps below to connect your Stripe account and start accepting donations smoothly.
Step 1: Log into Your Charidy Dashboard
Start by logging in here: https://dashboard.charidy.com/login
Step 2: Go to Payment Gateways
From your dashboard, head over to the Payment Gateways section.
Step 3: Click “Add Payment Gateway”
Click the Add Payment Gateway button to begin the setup.
💡 Note: If you see an error message, your Legal Entity may not be set up yet. Follow these steps first to get that sorted.
Step 4: Choose Stripe
Select Stripe as your payment gateway.
Step 5: Enter Your Account Info
Now you’ll fill in your account details.

Make sure your routing number supports ACH transfers.

It’s best to use the info directly from a check—this helps Stripe connect your account without issues.
Step 6: Complete Stripe’s Verification
Once you fill out the first page, Stripe will redirect you to a few more questions. Make sure to complete every field. When you’re done, your account should show a green approval checkmark.

Stripe might also ask for extra verification. If that happens, you'll get an alert in your Charidy dashboard and via email. Remember, payouts can only be made once Stripe fully verifies your account.
